Copper Valley Air Service specializes in providing air taxi support for backpacking, hiking, mountaineering, fishing and hunting throughout the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and the Copper River Basin. We can provide for your air taxi needs to the Copper River Basin, Alaska Range, Wrangells, Talkeetna Mountains, and the Chugach Mountains. We offer several structured adventure packages from which you can choose or we will help you plan a custom adventure, based on your experience and abilities.

We can assist your drop off and pickup needs anywhere in the Western boundaries of Wrangell - St. Elias National Park. We will work with you to determine a trip based on your experience and abilities. We can also take you deeper into the park, to more remote areas of the park if you desire. Safety is our number one concern and we work with you prior to your trip to determine alternate pick up sites and plan for other contingencies.

Remote Adventure I
Choose from one of these exciting destinations to experience the majesty of the Alaskan wilderness. Remote Adventure I trips fly out from the Gulkana Airport in Glennallen. |
- Chelle Lake Area:
Park service cabin (24' x 36'), free of charge overnight use, lake trout fishing available, 4 sleeping bunks, and outhouse facilities. You will need to bring your own water, food, cookware, and sleeping bags.
- Nadina Glacier Area:
Amphitheater of Mt. Drum, close drop off for Mt. Drum ascent, southern route. Safest drop off zone for Mt. Drum.

Remote Adventure II

- Windy Ridge Area:
Drop off area for Mt. Sanford, above timberline, can see Alaskan range.
- Unnamed Lake Area:
Backpack / hike western slopes of Mt. Sanford.
- Sanford Glacier Area:
Located on the southern face of Mt. Sanford, view the 9000 foot vertical wall.
- Grandma's Ridge:
Overlooks the Dadina River, Mt. Wrangell. The Dadina Ice Falls can been see from here.
- Dadina Glacier Area:
Enjoy vivid colors from the volcanic activity in the area, wildlife viewing.
- Sheep Glacier Area:
Drop off area for Mt. Sanford ascents.
